A Bit About Me

Attending Catholic school from grades K-12 made me gain my love for fashion and apparel a little later in life.  Wearing a uniform was an integral part of my every day attire and limited my ability to truly express myself.  Although I value the education Catholic college prep school gave me, my eyes opened to the world of fashion in college.  After joining a sorority, I was introduced to the various ways one can show their personality through clothing.  A few of my friends worked in retail and asked me to join them.  I instantly fell in love with the fast paced fashion world and constantly changing trends.  I thought, "Wouldn't it be so much fun to have a professional career where you work with clothing all day?".  After researching, I realized that dream was possible by majoring in fashion merchandising!

My plans for a career in fashion moved forward by attending Immaculata University.  Classes such as apparel construction and design I & II, CAD I & II, buying principles, visual merchandising, retail math, and much more showed all the opportunities I had available right at my fingertips.  I was able to create my own designs, tech packs, CADs, business plans, etc. based on what I believed the market needed.  I found the career path that made me feel like I was never working a day in my life; a career that was creative, fast-paced, and my true passion!
